Towards Xenofuturism. Decolonial Future Figurations from Vernacular Semioverses

Abstract The goal of our research is to question the Global North’s narratives Future through alternative vernacular semiotic constructions. We will analyze impact that American semioverses have on possibility generating decolonial figurations futures, based theoretical framework what we call Xenofuturism . Having its roots in Latin America, has two complementary aspects: recovery an active memory deconstruction and understanding radical alterity. Within these semioverses, explore Aymara cultural for which future not ahead but behind, disorienting us from present, only temporal dimension exist. In ancestral cosmogony Bolivian-Peruvian Andean, where culture stems idea future-past, or past can be seen as future, central.
